Reports have colour-coded activity results to help you determine student progress 'at-a-glance'. The results are expressed as a % correct value with the following colour coding:
🟢 Green activities are those the student has successfully completed (passed at 80% or higher accuracy). You may also see green activities marked with an arrow (→). The arrow means that the student skipped this activity because they were manually assigned to a higher position in the sequence by their teacher.

How is accuracy calculated?
How is accuracy calculated?
The objective of the activities in ReadingDoctor® Online is to help students learn a set of teaching targets in each activity. The program identifies which targets the student is confident with while identifying any teaching targets that the student does not yet know and/or confuses with other teaching targets.

Accuracy (% correct) scores for activities reflect the % of teaching targets the student was confident with for that activity. These values are used to determine whether students progress to the next level of difficulty in their phonics sequence, as described in the section above.

More specifically, the accuracy score for each activity reflects the % of teaching targets the student completed 1) without an error, 2) without a timeout and 3) without confusion with another target when other targets were presented.

Here's an example. A student is presented with a letter-sound activity in which they are learning the graphemes 's, a, t, p, i, n, e':
Since 7 teaching targets are being taught in this activity, the maximun possible accuracy score is 7/7 (100%). The student successfully completes the 's, a, t, p' and 'n' teaching targets but selected 'i' when they were presented with the sound /e/. The program has identified that this student needs help discriminating between 'i' and 'e', so the scaffolding support is increased for those two targets.

Even though the student only provided one incorrect response, the 'e' and 'i' targets are both recorded as incorrect since the student had trouble discriminating between them.
